What's it like at our events? (view photos of our events)They are fun for you and your hound(s). Our events are one of our best ways of getting new adopters for these wonderful hounds, we can always use more volunteers to help. Please be responsible when out with your greyhound. When your greyhound is at the end of a leash, he/she relies on you for safety. Your greyhound will appreciate your efforts to keep him/her close by your side. Please join us in helping to spread the word on greyhound adoption. We need help promoting our organization at local events. Can you spare a couple of hours one weekend a month to go to a pet store, a green market or any other location to let people meet your greyhound(s) and give out information on our organization? Date: Saturday 9/11/2010 About the event:Come out and join us for a day of greyhound adoption. This is an all day event so please contact Kerry to volunteer for a two hour shift.
Date: Sunday 10/17/2010 About the event:Bring your dog out to Mounts Botanical Gardens and help us promote greyhound adoption. We'll have a booth set up but we'll need volunteers for two hour shifts for this all day event. If interested in chairing this event or volunteering please contact Barbara .
Date: Saturday 1/8/2011 About the event:Enjoy a day of fun at the 4th Annual Run for the Animals. You can participate in either the 5K Run, 5K Walk, or the 1 Mile Family/Dog Walk. There also will be dog agility contests, prizes, and raffles. Fun for the entire family. GPA will have a booth set up so we will need volunteers to help show off our beautiful greyhounds. If interested please contact Kerry Friedman. South Florida Pet Expo Date: Saturday 3/26/2011 About the event:Please join us for this large pet-related event. It's an all day event so we'll need lots of volunteers with their dogs to help out by working two hour shifts. We also need a Chairperson for this event so if interested please contact Barbara. Delray Affair Date: Friday 4/8/2011 through Sunday 4/10/2011 About the event:Come join us for the oldest and largest street festival in South Florida. It's a three day event so we'll need lots of volunteers with their dogs to help out by working two hour shifts. We also need a Chairperson for this event so if interested please contact Barbara

Palm Beach Kennel Club
PetCo - our weekly visits to the store on Sunday have been an exciting place to meet people interested in an "up close and personal" visit with a Greyhound. This is an ideal venue for people to actually see and touch the dogs before submitting an adoption application. We will be at the Wellington PetCo on 441 between Southern and Forest Hill every Sunday from 12pm to 2pm. PetSmart - on US 1 in Jensen Beach every Friday from 12pm to 2pm and also Sunday from 11am to 1pm. This is ideal for those in the northern areas to have a place to visit with the Greys so potential adopters can get "up close and personal" with these magnificent animals. Contact Pete Thompson at 
Channel 12 TV – WPEC – Weekly appearances by a kennel dog – during the noon news program – airs approximately 12:25 pm each day with Pet of the Day 
Channel 25 TV – WPBF – Will be showing a 30 second Public Service Announcement promoting adoption. They will also make up the tag line for our local group and send it to the other stations to also air – no telling when or how often – but hopefully we’ll get airtime from this beautiful “ad” for Greyhound adoption.
